Qualities

Responsibilities

  • Review applications & certifications for compliance
  • Coordinate & maintain HUD EIV compliance
  • Review voucher request and Tenant data prior to sending to CA, and will respond to any TRACS errors. Assists with monthly TRACS transmissions for all Section 8/HUD programs
  • Ensure site compliance with all rules and regulations set forth by regulatory agencies associated with its subsidy programs
  • Participate in property audit preparation and response
  • Review & maintain resident files for compliance
  • Assist Regional Managers with compliance needs
  • Assist Compliance Manager with annual updates to income/rent limits, rent schedules, and state reporting requirements
  • Provide support and cross-train with team members
  • Remain current with all updates and changes related to affordable housing program requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

A maintenance technician is a problem solver who can troubleshoot and takes pride in a well-kept property while upholding company standards and ensuring all tasks are performed in a professional manner. Biggs Property Management is looking for a maintenance technician to work at our Berne and Geneva properties.

Skills/experience required in a maintenance position, doing general handy work. Excellent Customer service & time management skills plus the ability to work independently. Must exhibit attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, cooperation, dependability, concern for others, integrity, self-control, stress tolerance, good communication skills, troubleshooting, active listening, sound decision-making ability, and initiative to take on responsibilities and challenges.

Must demonstrate knowledge of mechanical skills, safety, and problem-solving techniques. Must be able to present a valid driver’s license. Need own tools and reliable transportation, ability to work flexible hours, including emergency calls. Pay based on experience.
